Journal 3

Today when I came I sat and read with Mr.Mize with two groups of childeren. It was very interesting because some of them had a hard time understanding the concept of reading. Some of the childeren just skipped words that they did not know, or understand. It makes me question what can we do to get them to understande that if you sound out the word and take your time that they will be more successful. Right now we are going over the "Calendar" during this time one student gets up and points while the rest of the class help count up to today. The childeren seem to take well to the calendar. Especially when comes to thier birthdays and special dates when they do not have to attend school. The class right now are having fun playing a counting games with the number "10". The class seems to enjoy thier time counting to "10".

Journal 2

Last week it was fun to see the childeren get excieted about the books they read to themselves. Some read funny stories and some read historical stories but it seemed as though each child enjoyed the book they had. When the Spanish teacher cam ein she went over the days of the week and months. Some of the childeren seemed like they did not enjoy learning about another culture. I wonder if it just takes time to use to a different language?

Task 2: Skills

1. Pre-view the last session of notes and be ready to take notes for the next session. 2. Make sure that all assignments are finished so you will understand the next session of note taking.
3. Be prepared with pen/pencil, paper, and materials for class.
4. Make sure to be focused on the lecture, and if you think you missed something review after class with a reliable peer.
5. Anything that you did not understand during class put a "?" next to the question and ask the teacher after school.

1. Always have motivation.
2. You can't be perfect everything but you can try your best.
3. Never have fear... Have confindence in yourself that you can do it.
4. Before/ if you do get confused ask questions... Don't stay confused.
5. Make a list of what is important from number 1 being your top priority to your last priority. Just make sure that you do complete the list because remember everything on the list is important.

Task 1: Study Skills

1. Get to class on time.
Sometimes I forget the time and don't get to class on time from taking care of other business or talking to a friends. I think that I need to work on that because I don't want anything to get in the way of my education. So because I think I need to work on getting to class on time. I think it will be great time to get a watch and put it on the same scedual as the clocks at school that way I can try to be more on time to class. I think that is a great solution to my classes on time.

2. Taking Notes.
I have a problem with writing word for word when writing notes. Meaning it takes me longer to get finish with taking notes with NovaNet or with a teacher. I think that it would better if I would just write key words in order to save time and yet still be descriptive so I can study for a test. I can't say that it will be easy but the sooner I practice it the sooner I will get use to it.

Journal 1

Right now I have enjoyed myself observing the teaching methods that Mr. Mize is using to teach his students. It amazes me the way the kids take me especially the girls when I come into the classroom. I get hugs and heys from the kids and jut brightens my day. I see that it really does count were you grow up that affects your learning ablity school. I see so many smiles when the kids are active in the classroom and even more frowns when they have to go home.

I would have to say that the negatives that I have seen are some of the behavior problems that some of the kids are having. It's something that they can work on... but I would not blame thier behavior on them. It always starts at home is what always say. The positives are that they are eaggared the learned even though there are more than others. I see that if you show them that it is fun to learn they put more effort into the work.

Task 3:Me in 10 years

Where do I want to be in ten years?

1.Finish High School and get ready to go to college.

2. Go to college and get an associates or masters in Criminal Justice and find a suitable job.

3. Once I find me a suitable job in a nice city. I want to buy me a nice car to get place to place and house for my family to live in.

4. Make sure that me and my family are taken care of very well with saving accounts and money in the bank.

5.Have fun activities to do in order not to have a boring life.

6. Stay Fit. Meaning I will go to the gym every once in a while.

7. Teach my childeren values of life I think that will help through life.

8. Be strong and positive for me and my childeren.

9. Make sure whatever iplan to do that it will be positive for me and my family.

10. Live Life to the fullest.

1. Be on time.
2. Be organized.
3. Turn in all assignment on time.
4.Pass the graduation test.
5 Study for end of course tests.
6. Fill out college applications.
7. Pick out of the colleges that accepted me.
8. Get my family ready for the college life.
9. Make sure that everything is in place for when I move my family to my college destinations.
10. Study… Study… Study so I can graduate from college.

Week 1- Task 2

8. Think before you talk- I think that is important that you think before you take actions because if you don't you might end up saying or doing something that can wreck you chances on a good oppertunity.

9. Be prepared- Always be ready for what is going to be thrown at you. The job that you have might have surprises thrown at you and you have to be ready.

Week 1- Task 1

I think the task that I would have most trouble with would be learning from my mistakes. I have a bad habit of continuing doing the samething even though I know that it has a negative affect on my life. Not saying that everything that I have done has come to be a bad outcome. But because I have not learned from my mistakes that is something that I can work hard on to achieve the obsticles of allowing my stupidity to stand in the way.
