Journal 5
This week when I came I in surprise that we were having a Fire Drill. It took me back to my Elementary years. This morning I knew that it was a State Tornado Warning but, I did not know that we would have a fire drill. I'm assuming that whenever there is a tornada warning that it is required by the school to have a Fire drill just in case the emergency emerged. During this fire drill the childeren didn't seem as serious about this as I was when I was in school ( at least from what I can remember). Things have changed so much in the Elementry school. Back in my day there was no talking... and we were actually scared of what might happen. I guess now it's not such a big deal. I was just very surprised at the noise level and the smiles that I saw on the childeren faces. I guess I can that it was better to see them happy than crying about what might, or could happen.

From your description of the drill it seems that they've never been involved in a real tornado or fire-thankfully. Do you think the teachers should have made the students act more as if this was a real event?
Good post. Some small errors.
